Trail & Weather Advisory

LeConte Lodge opened on March 21 for the 2011 season.  The resident manager Allyson Virden is posting weather updates and some trail conditions as she gets updates. You can check the blog at: www.highonleconte.com.  

All trails are open.  This is the time of year to keep a close eye on the manager's blog as conditions are changing daily. As of 8:30 am, November 4 the lodge has 1 inch of snow with snow still falling.  The llamas are packing on Trillium Gap trail starting at Grotto Falls Parking area on Monday, Wednesday and Frday. They go up and down the same day.  

Please call 865-429-5704 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, EDT, Monday through Friday, the LeConte Reservation line if you would like to check trail conditons or if you have any questions regarding your reservation.  To check on the possible closure/opening of HWY 441, Newfound Gap Road; Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail or Cherokee Orchard Road,  please call 865-436-1200.
