Bookings for 2010
The 2010 season for LeConte Lodge® is March 22 through November 23. Our office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT, Monday-Friday, closed most major holidays including April 2, 2010. We began booking 2010 reservations on October 1, 2009. We will begin booking 2011 reservations on October 1, 2010. The procedure will be posted in early August and we will not accept any 2011 reservation requests until that time. Reservation requests for 2010 may be made by telephone or may be submitted in writing by fax, mail, e-mail or our 2010 inquiry form . See below for information regarding the wait list.
Reservations are booked for the 2010 season. Most dates now have wait lists attached to them to fill cancellations. We are not accepting any wait list requests for the following dates: September 17, 18; October 6-10; October 16 & 23. Cancellations that occur with more than 10 days notice are first offered to the wait list. Cancellations that occur with less than 10 days notice are just offered to the first inquiry after the cancellation occurs. Wait list requests must be submitted in writing either by fax, email or US mail. To submit a wait list request, you may use the 2010 inquiry form noted above. You may submit 3 individual dates OR ONE window of up to seven consecutive nights. Please note in the comment/additional requests section that this is a wait list request. Also note unit preference if any.
Since LeConte Lodge® fills up rapidly with reservations, please consider Charit Creek Lodge as an alternate location for your wilderness getaway if we cannot accommodate you at LeConte Lodge®. Charit Creek Lodge is located three hours northwestof the Smokies in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area and is only accessible by foot or horseback.
Payment Policy
Payments for lodging, meals and tax is payable at the time of booking by credit card. Payments for reservations made by mail between the 1st and the 15th of the month will be due by the 1st of the following month; made between the 16th and the end of the month will be due by the 15th of the following month. Payments for reservations made less than 30 days before arrival date are due when the reservation is made.
Late Cancellation Policy
Hosting guests on a remote mountaintop creates some unique problems of food supply and filling up unexpected vacancies. The trip to LeConte Lodge® is one that takes much advanced preparation, both for the host and for the guest. Most of your food is sent to the lodge in the spring of the year. Requests for guest reservations are made far in advance of arrival date. It is very difficult to fill vacancies created by cancellations received less than thirty days from the date of arrival. Consequently, we cannot guarantee a refund of your payment unless you give us thirty days notice. If a cancellation is necessary with less than thirty days notice, we will attempt to rebook your space. If we are able to fill the space we will gladly refund your payment. If we are unable to rebook your space(s), refunds on cancellations without thirty days notice cannot be made, regardless of the circumstances.
LeConte Lodge is managed by LeConte Lodge Limited Partnership, an authorized National Park Service Concession. It is not permissible by any individual, company, church or organization to increase for profit the approved and published rates under any circumstances. Failure to comply with this notice will result in forfeiture of current reservation and future booking privileges.
